Annoying BitTorrent and it's removal !.

    Hi everyone !.

On start-up a version of BitTorrent opens up almost immediately!
I have tried, I think, every conventional method in Windows 10, and by Removal software to rid my PC of it ... all to no avail !.

Control Panel/ Programs and Features/ Uninstall tells me that ì don't have System Administrator permission to uninstall it... Settings/Programs and Features tells me it doesn't recognise the BitTorrent.exe address , so I am stumped.
I can close the program every time I use my PC but I'd rather not have it around !.
I read somewhere that it is possibly an item of malware. But ?

So, if anyone can help me with my dilemma I'd be so obllged.

Download free version of winpatrol it has an option to remove things from startup and other tools which may help. Check task manager to see if it's running as a task is it actually bittorent or a variation

Samurai !.. Thanks for your reply, in answer to which :-

    1. I installed and ran Winpilot.. uninstalled BitTorrent there !...went to Task Manager
and it has gone from Processes and Start up.
    2. However it still exists in Control Panel/Programs and Features ..it will not uninstall from there, repeating that I don't have System Administrator permission to uninstall it...
and 3. It still appears as an app in Settings/ Apps and features and will not uninstall from there !...still has a box with the telling
me it doesn't recognise the BitTorrent.exe address.
    4. I reinstalled a new version of BitTorrent tried to uninstall it, but this doesn't alter anything.

Is there then no way that this annoyance can be removed ?.

When BitTorrent is running ... open Task Manager in the Details view.
Find bittorrent.exe. Right-click it and select Properties. A pop-up shows details.
In the details you'll see the Location of the program.
Open File Explorer in that folder.
    Close BitTorrent.
Back in File Explorer, delete everything in that folder. Indeed ... you could delete the folder, too.
    Program gone ... forever.
