Make Outlook 2016 Remember Window Size

I prefer not to have Outlook take up my whole screen. For some reason, since reinstalling Windows and Office 365, I cannot get Outlook to remember the window size no matter what I do.

Things I've tried: control + clicking red X, right clicking on the title bar and choosing size, etc.

Has anyone had any success in getting Outlook to remember window size and position?

I think I figured it out.

Right click the title menu, choose size, then use the keyboard arrow keys to make one side where you want it. Repeat for each side. Finally close the program. It seems to remember it that way.

    Doesn't work on email windows

I have the same issue, but for individual emails. They always seem to open in the lower left of my screen and I want them to open in the center. Tried using the right-click Size command, but it didn't seem to work. Any suggestions?

OK -- just tried it again, and it seems to be working now. Thanks!

    still not working

So I thought I had it working with individual emails, but it turns out that as soon as I no longer have any emails opened, it reverts back to opening them in the lower left corner.

    Any ideas?

I also have this issue, and it is driving me nuts when it happens. The issue is: when opening an email in its own editor window, the window opens in a location that is different from last closed email window.
Outlooks has for years worked this way: I close an email located in upper left corner, open another one, and it pops up in the same location where the closed email was placed--upper left corner. This, however, is not what happens on Windows 10 in Outlook (I use Office 365, and currently have version 1902, build 11328.20158). When the Outlook app is started, things happen exactly as just described. But after a while, for an unknown reason, all emails open up in the same location every time, regardless of the location at which the last email window was closed. Let's say this persistent location is lower left corner. When the email window is moved to a different location on the screen and closed at that location, the next email window that opens is located where the email window was located previously--lower left corner. Open another email, move to desired location, read, close, open another one--lower left corner again; they just keep opening at that same location every time. So if I want new emails to open in upper left corner instead of lower left, there is no way. I have to move every single email that opens from lower left to upper left (or wherever I want it at a particular time).
There are two workarounds I found. Restarting Outlook solves this, but this sometimes isn't convenient. The other workaround that seems to work is to Reply to an email being read (just click on reply and not actually reply), move the newly spawned email composition window to desired location, and close it. The next email opened should open at the location at which the reply window was closed.
I should also mention that the window location issue is also affecting the window size. Email windows always open in the same location and are of the same size. Resizing or moving them prior to closing has no effect on where the next email window will open or what size it will be; it is always the same size and in the same place. Very, very annoying.
I should also mention that I do not reboot my computer every day. I use standby, and my machine runs continuously for weeks at a time. I also use a docking station and multiple monitors, so there might be some environment-related issues or monitor-registry related issues.

What up, Voitek? Your post was the most recent one I found when looking for someone with the same issue as I had — and I just fixed mine!!! It's slightly different, but I think it may apply to yours. My issue was with 'New Window' windows for folder or inboxes, and my solution was to delete the registry key named 'Frame' at this location:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Office Explorer
If yours are isolated to message windows, then I'd maybe try deleting the 'Frame' key at this location instead:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Message

Here's hoping it works, because I probably won't remember I have this forum account!
