Adobe Bridge popping up at startup despite being disabled

After the last major Win 10 update, Adobe Bridge CS5.1 (which I have never used and never will) has started popping up at startup. It has never done this in the past. I have turned it off in Task Manager to no avail. So I need to close it manually after each boot.

This is by far not the worst thing that can happen in Win 10, but I am wondering why this annoyance has just started and how I can stop Adobe's intrusion.

Thanks for the reply. But, as I have said, I have already ensured that it is not a scheduled task.

    Hey stony41,
    1. If you don't use it, just un-install it
    2. Not sure about CS5 Bridge, but in CS4 ... Open Bridge > Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Start Bridge at Login. This adds/removes the Task Manager > Startup Entry
    3. Grab autoruns and see if you can track it down - Autoruns for Windows - Windows Sysinternals | Microsoft Docs

    Many thanks, Eagle51.

#2 did it. But other remedies I tried should have done the trick as well.

Bridge should show up somewhere in Autoruns - just search for it.

Thanks, Steve C. There was no need to use Autoruns, which I have had installed for years, since a solution lay within Bridge's own Preferences. Just why Bridge recently decided to pop up when Win 10 started remains a mystery.
