One Drive connect to many sources trough your firewall, not just one! Do you run 3. part Antivirus/Firewall software?
If so, you must allow it to run! If you use Windows own AV/Firewall it should be allowed automatically.

If you use CCleaner or something else like that, make sure it does not run cleaning in One drive's log folder or anything
One drive related. It seems like there are problems with a One drive .xml file needed for updating!

Make sure you do not block any windows update processes while starting One Drive, as it always run it's update check
when it starts, (that happens as soon as you connect to the web).

No 3rd party and I made sure WF did not block it -- that was the weird thing.

I will check, but it looked like it could not download the file from the OneDrive MS server. There was some sort of server "name mismatch".

I did my best but there are so many possibilities, who knows.

Anyway, I uninstalled OneDrive app and I installed manually the last version -- that did not fix the problem. But after a while, it went away on its own -- more weirdness. Now I have another problem: when I run the app, it pauses and I have to make it Resume syncing, which is annoying.

    Hi, again,

Any idea why OneDrive app pauses immediately after login and I have to click to resume?

Also, something is changing the name of OneDrive.exe to OneDrive_disabled.exe and I have to change it back for it to work. Any idea what?

I had nothing but trouble with One Drive. That was a year ago ... and in the interim people have been reporting more problems.

I dumped it and replaced it with Google Drive. Totally flawless. I recommend it highly.

I has similar experience, but unfortunately, I do not use Google products as a matter of principle. Not that I have more respect for MS, but it was just a free alternative.

I can't say that recently there were too many problems with it, but these two popped up and I don't have the technical knowledge to interpret the log and figure out what the source of the problem is.
