Software to bring back lost files

So, windows crashed some time ago, before i had a chance backup of some of my files. Is there a good, simple and easy to use program, to get lost files back again?

I've read in your posts here that you use Aomei Backupper. If you backed drive images up to external drive(s) you should be able to browse backup images and mount them to recover files by copying them.

Image File Explore, Existing Partition or Volume

Note: I use Macrium Reflect currently and don't have Aomei Backupper installed.

    Recuva

There are many tools for that. Ccleaner makes one call Recuva. See if the app fits your need:

Recuva - Restore deleted files, even if youve emptied the Recycle bin!

As usual with free apps, read carefully the installation procedure so that you don't end up with an unwanted application.

You may also try backing up your file by extracting it to you hdd/ssd by using it as secondary drive.

Alright, im going to try it out. Anyway, i just did a deep scan with recuva, but it only found one file that i deleted a few days ago. I also did a test by deleting some useless junk files on my computer, to see if recuva could bring them back again, but it found nothing.

If Recuva did not work, you are probably out of luck.

I should probably also mention, that im looking to bring back a lost rtf file in particular, but i would like a program that can find all sorts of files, as it might become useful some day.

This one of the better recovery programs.

See if it finds your files first. If it does, then you need to purchase a license to recover them. It is cheaper than most as well.

Okay, i just did a regular scan with your program. It would only let me search for docx, mp3 and jpg files, for some reason. It found about 1,000 files, but im not sure if that also includes files that are already on my computer? Also, i find the program to be a bit confusing. Is it possible to type the name of the file you wish to recover, or at least search for it in the results?
