W10 Startup list
Is there a list somewhere that I can access to check what startup programs I can stop from starting?
Running W10 and this is on a business computer that is slow to boot.

Open Task Manager (if it says 'more details' at the bottom, click on that to get the tabbed view). Click on the 'Start-up' tab.
Hello wvman, :)

For those who really want to grub down into the goriest of possible details about Startup stuff, Microsoft Sysinternals Autoruns is the ultimate tool. This one needs a tutorial, and gets a pretty good one from the HowToGeek at SysInternals Pro: Using Autoruns to Deal with Startup Processes and Malware. Shoot, I even wrote about this for InformIT back in 2009: Top Five Sysinternals Windows Utilities. Check Autoruns out, but heed this warning: It's not for the faint at heart!

You can try a clean boot and compare boot times: first part of
Perform a Clean Boot in Windows 10 to Troubleshoot Software Conflicts Windows 10 Tutorials
If your boot is still slow, there is a much more technical approach to analyse slow boot times using the Windows Performance Analyser e.g.
VERY slow boot, only when restarting [SSD EVO 250gb] - Windows 10 Forums
Windows Performance Analyzer | Microsoft Docs

Thanks for all the responses. I have printed out the startup list and have been checking each one. I have found about 9 that I can safely disable. The rest I am not sure about, for instance 2 entries for Quick Books. They use Quick Books for their business. Does it need to run at startup? Can it be disabled at startup and not affect their business? I am not doing anything until I get a second HD so I can clone it as a backup.
