How make copy of DVD. Read plenty of info this forum, very confusing.
How make copy of DVD. Read plenty of info on this forum, but, very, very, confusing.
Some caveats:
Firstly, I know W10 can't do this, and that it requires additional software.
Secondly, I have read at least 4 forum topics on this, and remain confused.
Thirdly, yes, the copyright thing--I'll take my chances.
Some history:
Today, I stepped on and broke a DVD of King Lear, with Ian McKellen.
I have no idea how it got onto the floor--dogs, kids, gremlins, who knows.
The least expensive replacement is ebay, pre-owned, $49.95 plus $3.75 shipping--ouch.
What I want to do:
I want to take my expensive DVDs, and stick them in my laptop's hard-drive, and make a copy of these DVDs,
so that I don't have to buy them again when they get stepped on.
Requests for help:
1. Can anyone recommend a freeware that will allow me to
take my expensive DVDs, and stick them in my laptop's hard-drive, and make a copy of these DVDs?
2. Can anyone recommend a modestly priced program I can buy that will allow me to
take my expensive DVDs, and stick them in my laptop's hard-drive, and make a copy of these DVDs?
Apologizing in advance:
I realize that these may seem live a simpleton's requests for help,
and I apologize for wasting anyone's time,
but, I need your help.
Thanks.
