    No need to do that.. it's a valid suggestion provided people are happy to pay for the program after trying it.. the solution doesn't have to be freeware.
    I have read the forum rules and have not found any rule stating we should not suggest members payed programs. Please correct me if i'm wrong, thanks @dalchina.

    Hi there
    @FreeBooter

    Thanks for your suggestion --don't get scared just because a program is a commercial product -- sometimes it's worth paying for decent software.

    Iyi şanslar ve iyi geceler

    Think that's right -- but a while since I was last in Turkey --loved it though in spite of current problems -- almost friendliest people on the planet !!!! (apart from Icelanders -- but I'm biased of course !!).

    Cheers

    Clarification

    We, as a forum, have no issue in suggesting Commercial, rather than Free products, indeed we would prefer that members suggest whatever they have found to be the best software, (or hardware), for the job, in their experience, (which is the of course best recommendation you can get)

    We are however strict in members recommending commercial products which they have a connection with, (not anywhere near the case here), as we run this forum on advertising revenue, so if someone wishes to sell products through the forum, this is possible as long as you do it through proper channels (Members do not see adverts that guests do).

    When recommending any product the best thing is to state that it is a free product or a commercial product, (or any of the many variations in the current tech market), so there is not any confusion possible, If possible it's helpful to members to suggest more than one product, (Commercial and a free alternative), as not everyone can afford commercial products, (not a rule - a suggestion only),

    Members who are developers of Open source Free software, are welcome to let members know of this, including download links and user support, although it's best to contact one of the staff before the original post

    @FreeBooter. I've checked your original post and can restore it if you wish :)

    Hi there
    @Barman58

    Excellent reply and I hope that clears up the issue for people. Some commercial software is excellent as is open source and freeware and variations in between.

    I have absolutely no problem in using commercial stuff so long as it is fit for purpose and not priced in the realms of stupidity. I love freeware too ( I am a big Linux user) and really love all those people who use their spare time to develop products -- in fact a lot of very successful commercial products are often tested out on the Linux platform as developers can get good development environments to hone their skills and gain experience before developing for a much more difficult Windows environment. Linux users will put up with glitches for new stuff while it's in test phase so developers can really have a decent go.

    Cheers

    Have you found any software by chance? I'm just looking for a boost in volume and more control over volume.

    The latest waste of time I had was with Equalizer APO -- gave me any amount of configuration files but no application stuff to actually USE it.
    Just tried Equalizer APO and all you need to do is configure it. You can then exit the program and the changes stick.

    If you need to adjust sound when actually using a device just use instant mode.

    Once installed you also really need to add Peace Equalizer APO Extension.

    Peace Equalizer, interface Equalizer APO download | SourceForge.net

    Then it simplifies the settings.

    If you click the effects button you get balance control.
