Beware CCleaner installation!

    Time to put CCleaner to rest.. Avast royally f'd it up... no goodwill left.... let's move on.

    It appears CCleaner no longer provides downloads for versions released in the pre-Avast takeover era.

    For those, you have to go somewhere like File Hippo.

    I think 5.32 and earlier are pre-Avast. As far as I know, they work fine, but I don't know how long that will persist.

    No one knows, since Microsoft changes things around and these old versions are not aware of the changes.

    Kill that auto update check in Task Scheduler and check the startup with Autoruns. That should kick it straight.
