On the Store Skype App, you can adjust the volume on individual voice messages, while on the new Skype for Desktop you cannot.

The latest Beta version (8.16.76.8) of the new Skype for Desktop has a few new features but, nuthin to brag about, while the same version for Android has quite a few improvements!

The latest Store Skype version has many improvements as well but still doesn't integrate with the Win32 platform well!

Who cares?(other than me, Skype for desktop is/was more stable and reliable)

One can always open their browser though: Skype

The 'new' Skype Desktop works fine!
It's certainly better than that Store App! More versatile and user friendly!

I like the Skype as it was before MS purchased it. I wish I could still use that one.

Apparently the risk of the old Skype is only while it's being installed and so one can always use the portable version
