If you had read the info in the Link I posted, you can pull it from the previous ISO.

Since it's my data that I need to retrieve, how would downloading this iso image help me?
Doesn't that just install the old version of Sticky Notes (without my data?).

My substitute for sticky notes. I made an empty .txt file using Notepad on the desktop and also on taskbar.
Thanks, but it's my data that I need, not alternative methods.
    Thanks anyhow.

Again read the link that I posted that explains how to pull Sticky Notes from the ISO before Microsoft removed it. Otherwise there is not much else to tell you at this point, since it is a easy fix.

I did what you requested and as expected, all it did was reinstall the the pre-Fall Creator version of Sticky Notes with a blank note awaiting my input. My old input was nowhere to be found which is what I wanted.
Sorry if I didn't make that clear.

That is exactly what you are wanting. Sticky Note the old version will reinstall and from there you also have third party type of notes vs. the App version that Microsoft is going to with Windows 10.

    Greg,

Dan is wanting to restore his .snt file to bring back his previous notes instead.

The problem is that his .snt file is no where to be found on the computer from his searching.

    Dan,

If you haven't already, try manually going to the location of the .snt file as noted in the steps instead of searching just to rule it out.

    Brink,
    I went to this folder:
    C:\Users\bromberg.DESKTOP-V44B91G\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftStickyNotes_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState
and the only file in it was plum.sqlite so I'm very certain there are no .snt files on my PC.
I appreciate all your suggestions, thanks again.

    Dan,

That would be for the new Sticky Notes instead. I was hoping you would have a "C:\Windows.old" folder that may contain your .snt file from the old Sticky Notes.

Sorry, thought I had commented that there is no "C:Windows.old" folder on my PC (even checked the trash bin).
I recently did a Fall Creator update on my laptop and did not have this 'Sticky Note' problem, so go figure?!
