Windowed Mode Bug With Movies & TV App?

    Hi there!

Just found a weird bug after updating this app this week to version 10.17102.1391.0, nothing too annoying, but still kinda... dunno how to describe.

    Here is it:

If you start any video on windowed mode, or, of you start full screen and return to windowed mode, videos stutter and lag horribly, this happens with any video. Full Screen and Mini View are not affected. In fact, if you come from Full Screen, and to mini view, and from there you click the mini view button to return to windowed mode, the stutter dissappears. Sound plays normal always during this issue.

Obviously, I've tried all the logical approaches, from reseting the app from Apps and Features, uninstalling and reinstalling with Powershell, and checking my drivers, all my VGA and Chipset drivers are updated to latest. I've tested in Media Player, VLC and even Winamp, and all show correct playback in windowed mode.

Is anyone else experiencing this bug so far as well? Probably my best bet is to wait for an update for this app...

    Cheers!

Here in the UK it goes by the name Films & TV, but it's the same thing - mine's version 10.17102.1391.0 just like yours. I'm afraid I can't reproduce your problem as described. I suggest the bug is not in the app, but in your video drivers. Tried rolling them back?

My machine in nothing fancy, just uses the stock Microsoft-supplied drivers: Intel (R) HD Graphics and the Microsoft High Definition Audio. What video do you have?

In my case, it's a Radeon R7 with 512 MB, comes with the AMD A12-9700 APU, rolling back didn't work (I tried Crimson drivers 17.11.1, but no avail) unless it's the default AMD Driver Microsoft installs from Windows Update, my problem is that the vast majority of my software (PS, CSP, Firefox) works way better with the latest drivers (Firefox has blocked that driver, and CSP acts laggy with it)... it's only this app exhibiting this weird bug XD.
