You need to be connected to the Internet before running those commands:
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
sfc /scannow
Windows 8 is obsolete. Stick with w10.
It's somewhat safe to use but always make a Restore Point before proceeding. Also, do not update everything just for the sake of updating. I would ONLY install those drivers that are missing/not...
2GB RAM + mechanical HD is going to struggle no matter what. My girlfriend has got a similar laptop but we swapped the hard disk with an SSD and the difference is night and day.
Memory usage seems okay to me.
Well. It's now fixed. Not a great fan of MS Store anyway.
Surprise, surprise. Now you can ONLY download it via terrible MS Store. And you know what, IT DOESN'T WORK.
You download it, install and when run it says you need to update it.
Great job Mr....
"no" problems so far. A minor typo.
Did you thoroughly checked all driver options? Maybe something was changed there without you noticing it. Economode or something like that.
Releases . Open-Shell/Open-Shell-Menu . GitHub
Installed on my two PCs. No issues so far.
Dual Channel is advisable specially when using built-in video. Net gain is about 10% give or take.
Somewhat slower than previous one. Done on two PCs. No SFC issues.
That's weird. My printers and scanners seem fine (on both PCs I have got).
I wonder what's the point in going from 21H2 to 22H1 if there aren't any significative changes.
I hope MS releases an out of band update or something. This is really sloppy work MS.
Well done!
Good day.
Thank you very much for the heads up.
Face skin is lacking intensity imho.
NTFS is not that widespreaded for USB thumbdrives (and not that useful). Most probably FAT32 or ExFAT.
Done on my two PCs fast and without issues.
Memory compression is somewhat bogus on w10. On this PC (16GB RAM), memory compression is always negligible.
Isn't patch tuesday second tuesday of the month? So PT was June 7th already, right?
Windows "S" is the worst idea ever.
