AMD just reissued 19.1.1 drivers, same version but newer date. Now it doesn't recommend older driver but same version:
221789
After doing couple of turns between two of those drivers I settled for 19.1.1 and pressed ignore button.
Click on Check for updates.
Looks like it's not.
Oh finally, I looked this morning and they were not there. Downloading now.
Don't have schtaks.exe and no process by tat name running.
I have conhost.exe but not running at this time:

When I installed 18.12.2 it recommended 18.12.3, it would go like that in circles.
When installing last time (it was a clean install after DDU) I forgot to tell it not to look for drivers automatically. But anyway, how's that an update going to earlier version ? I turned that off...
ATI used to be awful with their drivers and now AMD is getting just as bad. Look here:

It was pestering me to update driver from 18.12.2 to 18.12.3 and when I did it now wants me to "update"...
At defaults, performance dropped like a rock.

Pretty good, cool, quiet and fast enough. Didn't have better one since old 4 headed Matrox. Only problems with some old games, just can't get resolution right, getting off screen by large part....
AMD getting ready for ray tracing ?
Just installed it, first one in long time that didn't drop but improve on 2D performance, 3D same.
I just changed GPU to AMD Asus strix 570 OC 4gb. and 18.9.2 driver.
Nice little portable program for finding, downloading, installing and uninstalling AMD drivers for GPU and Chipset. It can find and download even older drivers difficult to find otherwise: Download...
Same here but with every new driver 2D score goes down although some better 3D scores are higher.
Had me a battle with drivers yesterday. Tried to install older drivers v17.11 for instance. Cleaned...

Installed but as only an update it had problems, mouse cursor was going crazy, Clean install (after DDU) is good.
APUs are tricky bunch, even with same version number drivers are different than for dedicated GPUs.
Just download driver from here, either auto or manually: Download Drivers
simple setup.exe does it for you.
Probably just safest driver they have for all APUs and mobile applications as well as other GPU types. One of insider builds also installed same driver on 2 of my computers with AMD graphics, HD 7670...
Older ones are basically sent to legacy bracket. Check at AMD drivers site Download Drivers
and look for drivers manually making sure that you search for adequate type of GPU, ei. Notebook, APU...
