    That's correct I have 6.9GB of reserved storage on an old lappy that I did a clean install on but none in one I upgraded. Both have 256GB disks.

    Libraries don't mind. I have data on removable drives and I can run with or without. Not sure what happens if you have moved a known folder though.

    I've just tried it on a 30GB restore to a USB2 attached spinner and the drag and drop after the restore took less than a second. All it has to do is change a pointer. No data is moved.

    A drag and drop out of the Drive folder will be quick since no data is moved, or instead of restoring just mount the backup and copy the files.
