    All event logs, including CHKDSK show that it was successfully completed.
    No error messages at all, which is a bit disconcerting.

    As for the /R switch, I have my fast NVMe 2 TB SSD...

    I always get the latest drivers from the source, rather than using Optional Updates.
    Windows 10 should be able to pick up most of the basic ones upon install.

    I cannot even force a hard shutdown at times from the power button, so I have to unplug it from the mains.
