Well, since I know that this works, and it's safe, Good luck. You're on your own. It is only intended to help someone who wants the help.
The video is legit. It was just easier to refer to it than...
Here's how to control Cortana, edge, AND stop updates until you want them:

I think you should keep the new board, and little by little, build another system with it. Do it on your own. Use YouTube, and Google-Fu to help you along. Someone on this board will always be...
It is indicating that your SATA drive, CPU, or Ram is failing. I would say change all this, one at a time to test, but you're cutting it close on warranty, and are better off taking it back. After...
I recommend you get it back under warranty IMMEDIATELY! Whatever was taken from the old board, and placed in the new one is the culprit (Ram, CPU).
Good luck, keep us updated.
Sounds like a hardware issue. Open it up. Start it. See if the fans are working. If they are: Check power supply. Sometimes flaky behavior ( more often than not), is caused by the PS taking a dump....

I use both, as a matter of fact, I make a restore partition on my hd using Aomei free OneKey, then I use Macrium Reflect to image the whole thing to an external drive.

Another vote for Macrium Reflect! For the home user, there isn't anything cheaper, easier, and more reliable. I've searched for a product like this since the early '80's.
Ignorance, by definition, is lack of knowledge. I was referring to myself. Lack of desire isn't ignorance.
No one "Knows-it-all".
I agree with your point. I'm not arguing with you. I guess I'm just cheap (or just curious beyond the realm of the normal person), and prefer to do my own work, as you do. To me, it's just a matter...
That's a good idea. For some reason, I didn't think of that. Thanks! However, some of the "freebies" I give away, won't boot from a USB drive. I repair some pretty old systems that will function...
Thank you for your response.
I play mostly older games (I'm an avid Sims2, Beyond Good and Evil player), that's why I like Win7. Didn't mean to seem presumptuous, but computer maintenance is...
Heres how to disable Cortana with the ability to re-activate it:
Rename the "C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.Windows.Cortana_cw5n1h2txyewy" folder with Unlocker.
Unlocker will prompt you...

It's so nice to be here! Hope to...
I TOTALLY agree with you here. A little research, and you could've stopped the "upgrade" to begin with. Not only that, there's a rollback option. Not only that, but imaging your computer once a week,...
