fredc: don't worry about it too much. As it's a laptop and you only have 1 drive (SSD) it is your Windows boot and primary drive. Windows will know it's an SSD and will adjust settings accordingly to...
Not sure why it would be doing that especially if it's in desktop mode. It is not normal behaviour as mine does not do that on both SP2 (with power cover attached) and my main desktop unit. Did you...
Mine was a clean install but I just installed the app now to test it out.
I am running a Nvidia GTX570 with Intel i5-3570k OC'd. Surface Pro 2 has HD4400 integrated graphics. Both with Win10...
I just tried the Netflix app on my main desktop and it's playing fine so far. Puzzled as to what the issue could be.
Wonder if the app is having a spasm with certain system configurations?
The issue with WMP is it's buried like IE11. You have to look for it if you want to use it...
Hmmm... what you might want to do is this:
Go into Settings>Devices>AutoPlay
There you can choose to turn it off or choose a setting for it. I have it turned on and take no action.
Maybe...
Actually they got rid of Windows Media Centre. I never used it much so I don't really miss it. But for those that used it as a MPC, that was a killer as they now have to look for alternatives or not...
That is the touch keyboard interface. If you press the icon on the lower right corner of the pad with pen on it, you will get options to change it to a regular keyboard.
Edit: I would think it...
Glad to hear you got it going. :D
Sorry bunny, but did you try to sign out of Netflix app and then sign back in? Netflix says it could be an issue with settings/information stored or network problem on top of graphics issue.
I'm...
Is this a notebook? If it is, what is the manufacturer/model of the notebook?
What OS were you running before? Did you experience any problems with the previous OS?
A clean install works fine, but issues upgrading... did you try running the setup.exe with AV and/or other security software disabled?
You can leave them offline for now until we can resolve this oddball issue. Space is definitely not an issue with you. 70GB free space is more than adequate. My brother's was less than 1GB free...
Hope everything will go well. Good luck.
Might want to disable the AV for now until the updates go well.
I thought a user could install Windows 7, activate it and then jump into upgrading to Windows 10. Maybe I'm wrong, but I know my brother's system wasn't up to date on his Win7 machine and was able to...
Judging by the desktop, I would have to say it's either 8 or 8.1.
You have to upgrade first and have the license validated on MS servers. Once that is done, you can go ahead and do a clean install. There is no other way around that.
Yes, you answered this question, which is technically incorrect as it would be based on the circumstance stated by LCDR:
Now if the user missed this opportunity and decided to upgrade the computer...
But then you said this...
Which is not correct.
Even after the 1 year is up you still have a retail version of Windows 10. The licensing is the only thing that is not the same. The full retail...
LCDR is correct. The free upgrade is exactly the same as the retail version. The only difference is the licensing. That's it.
Definitely try and do a clean install of Windows 10. If it installs without issue, great. If it activates, even better. But worst case would be you have to go though the upgrade process of 7>10. But...
If it is still giving you errors despite the fact that you deleted the partition and installed into the unallocated space, I think we have to consider some sort of hardware failure or bad sectors on...
You do have the security of having your data files on a different drive. In XP, 7 and now 10, I have always had my user files located on my data drive separate from the OS/program drive. After clean...
Actually there have been questions asked about uTorrent being a false positive. The developer never answered that. In fact they stayed silent about the matter. Not good in my eyes.
Of course all...
Actually no. The failure dialogue box would happen before the reboot. According to MS, if the failure occurred at the end process before the reboot, it is assumed it had failed despite the message...
