For some reason its getting bumped from the preview channel . So it ends up reverting to an older version.
Doing a full repair install returns it to the preview channel. Then it decides to update...

Fixed mine by doing a full repair install.

It actually pulled this stunt on a retail copy - Not 365.

Have wathed it in task manger doing its thing. Seems to download for a bit. Then stop for a while then keep going then stop.

I think the repair install was more due to my own impatience than anything. Being on a 4Mbps connection is crap as well, it takes for ever sometimes to download updates.

Not just windows 10. Had a Windows 7 machine do exactly the same thing.

Just sat there with the downloading office updates screen for over an hour on each.
No network activity...
