Hi! I installed ubuntu in my USB (wow this usb has had so many bootables in the past 2 days).

I'm here now using the laptop in question.

I found out that ubuntu has a chkdsk equivalent called...

the laptop is 5.6 years old or so. . .

also, so I just install the iso into my usb and use it to boot and the ram test should start?
