It ended up being my CM Storm Spawn mouse screwing it up. Needless to say, I disconnected all other SATA drives, optical and hd, removed my NVIDIA GTX560 and used the HDMI and not the DVI video...

Unplug all of your USB devices when it freezes. Mine continued.
