See my reply below, do not follow this route on laptops for sure...
In general: be VERY careful to update the Intel Management-drivers! Often this outdated system introduces big troubles. One of the best known bugs is the not completely powering down laptop. It looks...
Yep, same here. Am I surprised? No, every update in reality is more like a downgrade :-( Not without reason I steered away from Windows 1.5 years ago for production work. Never looked back in regret....
Got this junk today, led to a series of event ID's 7023 regarding 'interactive services detection-service'. Whatever that is. Anyone noticed those also directly after installing this vague update?...
This Windows 10 became a very effective form of ransomware itself. So terribly tired of it. AGAIN updating, AGAIN waiting, AGAIN repairing the problems afterwards. Now we have more or less weekly...
Those errors actually do not appear only right after logging in. They get logged randomly during use of the system. On computers with Win 10 v1706 the situation is even more disastrous (Windows 10...
Guess it's something more common then. I also saw a series of event id 7023 errors after getting a mysterious undocumented update on several systems this week. I fear we will be on a turbulent ride...
Hi!
Since the last update-round of Windows 10 (v1703) with every boot I see a kernel-EventTracing 2 error in the logs, regarding session Microsoft.Windows.Remediation) :(. No green idea what it...
When I read about all those people fighting with upgrades, regular clean installs etc. it really convinced me even more that I made the right decision to abandon the ship. For work I will start using...
Here it ended in a blue screen, not working Kaspersky and not functioning network adapter. WHY o why do they keep pushing this crap? Anyway, just counting down to a newly ordered iMac. Must work,...
Tnx for the info! The patch will arrive too late for most people. If it wasn’t done on purpose, it was a stupidity of gigantic proportions. It cost me and others huge amounts of time. Still very...
Unfortunately it turned out to be ending in complete disaster: https://www.tenforums.com/windows-updates-activation/98002-fall-creators-update-installing-despite-being-business-branch.html#post1206527
in other forums I see people complaining about it also. Either it’s a huge bug or Microsoft shows everyone the middle finger. I am trying again now after restoring an image from last week. Directly...
Unfortunately, it looks like there is a huge bug in this KB. On business machines it indeed installs 1709 without checking the chosen business branch. That’s not good news at all and the first...
noticed that also indeed, created already a new topic: https://www.tenforums.com/windows-updates-activation/98002-fall-creators-update-installing-despite-being-business-branch.html#post1206527 Thanks...

There are several reasons I cant run this update yet. Thats why I spend a lot of money for a Pro-version. Which MIcrosoft obviously treats as a Home version. Waste of money.
Why the f*** isnt there an option cancel implemented? Incredible! I am extremely pissed off and stressed.
looks like that indeed, right now I lost another system to this bug. Will try to restore an image and setup days to block. Indeed it’s pro, paid a lot for that even. I am in deep shit at the moment....

This happened straight after installing KB4048955 despite the obvious choice for business. Do I miss something here, am I a total idiot?
It means that this update actually broke the update settings. That would be a blunder.
Disaster struck, after this painfully slow update and a restart all looked ok. Until the download of the Fall Creators Edition suddenly started. WHICH I BLOCKED in settings, I am at the business...
To my horror after the monthly patch installation Windows suddenly starts preparing the fall creators update. I DO NOT WANT THAT TO HAPPEN BUT CANT STOP IT. This doesn’t look good at all. Just triple...
Froze at 17% download for the last 45 minutes. Again shit. I am rather furious, have other things to do in life then waiting for frickin Windows updates.
Hm, theoretically speaking you should see a screen PHOTO. Too high resolution for the purpose, but at least you can zoom in :-) It’s about the error reports that were sent regarding something that is...
