Dude - that worked. Thank you!
I'm actually quite surprised. I had assumed that, like so many Windows installations that are blue-screening on startup, the problem was due to missing and/or...
Ok, that's what I thought you meant. At this point, I suppose it can't hurt to try. Would you suggest I replace *all* the hives, or just SYSTEM, SOFTWARE, or whatever?
I'm afraid I don't quite understand how that program would help me make this Windows installation bootable again. Maybe by replacing the existing registry hives with older backup copies or something?...

Thanks for posting the link to your other video about fixing "critical...

I'm trying to repair a customer's Win10 installation which fails on startup with a "critical process died" blue screen. Booting in Safe Mode w/wo Command Prompt yields same error.
The first thing...

Thanks, Brink. Nice work. This is one of the first things I searched for after installing Windows 10.
Any chance you could create a shortcut to toggle Tablet Mode on/off?
Can anyone confirm whether the above-mentioned Ribbon Disabler v2 works with the final release (7/29) version of Windows 10?
According to a post on the author's website, it was no longer working...
