Good to know it's just my laptop. :-)
However that make it even more frustrating. :(
Just tried taking the battery out (to force full start up) and no keys get me to the enter Pin screen.

It's a useability feau par (not sure if the spelling is right) now having to use two devices to log in when you could previously do it with one. I.e. just using the number pad on keyboard.
Yes I have waited long enough.
All hard disk activity ceased.
When at the start up screen
Before the Spring 2018 update I could simply tap enter on the keypad, then type in my pin using the keypad.
After the Spring 2018 update I have to click with the mouse...
Good to know, but does not help in my case as I need a password to be set in order for network sharing to work seamlessly between machines.
Or M$ fixed the issue :-)
You must re-import the group otherwise your driver updates for the nvidia card will be broken.
I would strongly advise restoring the settings after the windows update has installed as the account is created by the Nvidia software for it's update service.
Heaven know how the driver got past...
Just checking the obvious.

Are they aligned exactly side by side in the Screen Resolutions settings (You can see the co-ordinates when you drag the monitor icon up or down)?

After roll back to 7, Uninstall MSE, Upgrade to 10 all is now all is well and Windows Defender is a happy bunny.
Already got data backed up, but I am not going to do a clean install as I need to see how many gotchas there are in the upgrade process.
Looks like my best bet is to roll back to 7, uninstall MSE then upgrade 10 again.
Not sure this is wise as I assume that this also applies to 8.1 and 10 ...
Glad to see people actually read the text and don't just look at the pretty pictures :-)
I will give your suggestion a go...
Did you not read the text !
I am trying to UNINSTALL MSE !!!
Prior to upgrade I was using Microsoft Security Essentials on my Windows 7 Pro laptop.
After upgrade, every time I boot up I get a warning that windows defender is not enabled.
Ok I though,...
Or even simpler open an elevated command prompt then type
net user UserName Password /add
net localgroup Administrators UserName /add
Where UserName and Password are your own choice
...
Not sure, but try control panel to see if there is a users icon or maybe in family and safety.
Safest to create new account to perform the moves otherwise files will be in use thus can't be moved.
Look like Windows thew a hissy fit when loading your profile and decided to helpfully create a new one.
To get back to normal (Works with Windows 7)
Add a new local user with admin rights,...
I know this might seem a bit extreme, but one of my customers had the same problem with WiFi disappearing at random intervals.
The cure was to shutdown, remove battery, wait a few minutes. Fit...
Same as we did, must have been due to load on activation servers.
Although we had 60/40 (OSX/Win) split before BSOD.
To be expected ...
Maybe better to wait till the dust settles to do clean installs.
