"Bypass TPM" in install 11 don't tell China :D :start: :busted:
No need for any of that. This morning the message had gone about doesn't meet MS requirements. But as I said in the first place I will not be doing the update anytime soon :sarc:
Thanks I did that seeing as the message was just "bugging" me. Sorry to say it didn't work.
I got the update message saying my PC doesn't meet the requirements. It was just the TPM so I enabled it in my Aorus UEFI BIOS and windows said it is working OK when I ran tpm.msc
The odd thing is...
Installed today. Did a system restore backup just in case and unplugged two USB drives. Download was less than a minute and update was complete and rebooted in about two minutes.
All good so far :-)
Yes I guessed that but I had to reboot for another programme anyway ;). Yes I saw it in update history.
Good I will do the update :-)

I just clicked install on this update and it quickly disappeared and nothing seemed to happen and it didn't ask for a reboot. I rebooted out of...
Same here. Are there any problem with this?
I've been getting this error. I did retry with no luck.

I looked in history and it would seem this is the failed item under other updates with error 0x8024001e

Thank you. Please read my last post.
Many thanks to all that tried to help me with this error.
Good news! After doing the reg edit by adding the correct key, on reboot I can now get into recovery without the error :D
Guess I will...
I've done the reg edit but I can't reboot at the moment because I'm doing a large backup of files to a USB drive.
I did remove a few 3rd party utilities like Gigabyte ones that seemed pointless for...
Thanks for that but if you look in my earlier post you will see the link to fixing this error. I've done all of the fixes in that link except the registry edit. None of the other fixes worked and I...
Thank for that.Is it not best to backup the registry first somehow? I'm concerned about it going wrong.
Sorry I've never done anything like that before and don't know how to do it. You know what that say it's easy when you know how ;)

I see now that I have the value volsnap missing from my registry. The only word there is Ambakdrv at

Thank you . I ran the bat file and all seemed OK. It ran then the window closed. How do I use this if I need to use the restore point in the future?
And it went off track way before that :sarc:
Yes I do know that. I keep my important files on a separate drive which is backed up twice a week
I now use AOMEI Backupper because Macrium Reflect failed me once big time with loads of errors

I was hoping you would say that :-)
I just spent 4 days getting the system how I want it . I now asking myself do I really need the restore points
Yes I did that except for the reg fix because the System Restore wasn't there
I have the answer to my question from Ghot. Some folks went off on a tangent that wasn't my question. Thanks.
I keep systems images with AOMEI Backupper. I've just built a new system and unfortunately I didn't do the backup before I had the error. Guessing I will just have to live with it not working.
I'm really trying to get around the fact I'm getting the error 0x81000203 when I try to do a normal restore backup. I tried many a fix and was hoping by doing a manual backup it would fix it.
