Football messing with my schedule...but here goes...

Yeah, this is the main reason I wanna get this nested virtualization sorted out. Hopefully build 21390 is stable enough so I can do this...
Yeah, not gonna suck down the leaked image. I only grab stuff straight from MS.
Sure, that's also useful information. Kinda related to my questions too...as the plan is to run Win11 flights in a VM for a while. And nested virtualization will be imperative for me because of...
Ok, so, I've upgraded 2 VMs on 2 different machines to this latest build. No issues so far...Seems to be quite stable tbh
Mostly data and apps...uninstalled games a long time ago. One VM which is tiny atm.
EDIT: Also have a lot of SDKs. All files on my system in total is counted in the millions...not even sure how...
I can't fit 500GB system image anywhere at the moment, or I would have a backup already. :p
Glad to hear
Thanks Kari, as you suspected, I already know how to setup nested virtualization. It's just that on the latest RP builds this isn't yet implemented for AMD hardware.
So I need to switch over to...
I thought I already did ask 2 questions, which of one got replied to...but the important one did not. :-)
Who of you are running the latest builds as your daily driver?
Because I need Hyper-V nested virtualization support on AMD hardware, I am seriously considering upgrading my laptop to these dev...
I can guarantee that if MS goes full Subscription for Windows Pro Edition, I'm out. Linux or MacOS here I come.
Very nice! Over 5GHz stable and memory/IF clocks very high too. That one is a beast!
There is so much more into CPU computing than just cores and IPC. The 12- and 8-core CPUs are similarily priced because they are similar in performance.
I agree that more cores might last longer...
It entirety depends on your main use case. For gaming I would definitely go for the newer CPU. The difference is huge. For other workloads the 12-core may benefit a little bit, but the overall...
Alright...will do this one later...don't have time for a reboot right now. :-)
Is your Intel fanboyism slightly broken because of AMD? :p
Installed on all my machines without any intervention from my part.
Yeah, I'm curious about what NVidia will do next...We have real competition now.
Does not surprise me if NVidia still has some ace in their sleeve. And AMD might have something too...Let them WARR...
If I build a brand new computer it will be a R9-5950X + RX6900XT + 64 or 128GB RAM on a x570 platform. But your choice of components is perfect.
GDDR6X is a powerhog and AMD does not need that fast VRAM because of infinity cache. They even dropped the bus width, yet there's enough bandwidth....
Hahaha, very funny!
...ok, installed on both my computers just fine. Nothing to complain about for the moment.
Does not surprise me the least that it is a HP device that was affected. Great machines, but sometimes they've got some weird stuff going on.
Whaheyy!!!
