That search failed too but the routine seemed different, it was more responsive than before so perhaps there has been an upgrade since I last tried.
Too tired now so I will try again...
Windows 10 has a routine to make this conversion but it does not appear to work.

I just did not realise that none of the video playing programs I had installed would open a DVD.
VLC Media Player is now installed and opens my home made DVD as well as...

I have burnt a new DVD with the same MPEG-2 files using DVD Styler Portable and it did a good job simply.
The Menu went easily and the options are all I want.
