Well, it lists a Widows 10 32bit setup media, but it won't run at all. 64bit does work, so I guess it just can't run 32bit.

:D Yes
That is amazing. I recall a fresh install of Windows 7 on a fast HDD took 45s to desktop on this older laptop, from about 15 minutes of Vista grinding the drive.
Anyhow, regarding the newer...
I did, everything is upgraded to max or beyond (with adapters and whitelist removed), but it's already 14 y/o and won't hold much longer.
Thank you for all ideas! I'll try more tomorrow. Asking Asus these questions too.
It's not mine, it's for granny that hates any tiny change. That's why I tried changing nothing, and why the profile...
Yes, I did. It gives error Error 0xc0000359 about winload.efi.
Can UEFI and GPT work with 32bit?
I can't find CMS a settings in the BIOS.
Thanks. I see now that it's a 32bit Windows 10, and no winload.efi, so no way out?
I just want to boot the old drive. Can I do that? How?
Not sure if that's what you need, or where is CSM, but here:

No more BSOD now. Maybe one different boot or x number of restarts fixed it.

msconfig...
Attached. Translated one partition for you (could it be a problem?).

Interestingly, after reconnecting the NVMe, and restoring UEFI options, it would not boot – gave BSOD...
I had a SATA SSD running updated Win 10 on an old laptop, SATA set in BIOS to AHCI. It was cloned earlier from an earlier HDD.
I installed it now in an Asus P5440FA that also has a NVMe running Win...
Why would it not work for you? Did you have the same result sometimes, or only
different results?
I actually wanted to replace both Bluetooth and WIFI, but none work. Any
special way to do the...
I tried upgrading WIFI on an old Lenovo 3000 N200, by adding Intel AX200NGW, an adapter like this and antenna adapters. Also flashed a BIOS with supposedly whitelist check removed.
Now, in Windows...
Yes, I checked the IP and subnet at another device, plus the router.
There's only microsoft's built in security, so I disabled the firewall, but no change.
No proxy.
Haven't tried tracert yet, but...
Not sure where you meant, but chrome says - no internet.
There are no errors in device manager, nor when installing the downloaded drivers. Wifi does show as connected.
I looked at DHCP table of...

Didn't work. I tried Installing the Pro fresh on a different drive ("too many partitions"), but still it wouldn't use the Pro license.
If I create a new partition and install Pro there? Would it work? Would it activate the old install?
I had A PC running a free upgrade Win 10 Pro, but had to replace the mother board.
The "new" mother board was actually used, with Win 10 Home linked.
I linked them both to my Microsoft account, and...
You are probably right.
I was actually surprised seeing it list the single boot option and changing it.
But I have no technical knowledge of UEFI.
We're making progress. Thanks for all the help!
The boot partition was set as active.
I tried changing to AHCI first, by Navy's directions, but both drives only gave BSODs, and Repair did not help....
Thanks. I'll see what I have time for, with both drives...
Correction: This line relates to EasyBCD
I will try changing to ahci with the registry edit. I hope the dual boot won't be a problem.
But I don't believe it would help with the boot.
I can only check tomorrow. I am not sure. I imagine so.
