I'm running Windows 10 (2004, but same on previous versions) and something I installed when I was building my PC has hijacked the Windows Win+V keyboard shortcut for accessing multiple clipboards....
Yes, I've tried all the obvious user-focussed stuff, Windows thinks IE is installed fine but it just won't start. It will start in Safe Mode, but that of course doesn't support the USB device that I...
Yes, I came from Windows 7 and it was working normally there before the upgrade to 10. Everything else about the upgrade worked really well by the way, even some esoteric HP laptop features such a...
No, the problem is that I know where to find the icon (or just to run iexplore.exe directly) but it fails to start up properly, as per the logs above. Removing and reinstalling it via the Windows...
No, still not got it working.
This is one factor that is preventing me from upgrading my other PCs at the moment, as until I know I have IE available on at least one machine (doesn't really matter...
I too am still getting the "We're validating Windows 10 for your PC" message on my main home-built PC (laptop upgrade went fine). How can I check what particular software or hardware it is objecting...
OK, I've uninstalled Trusteer Rapport (banking security service for websites) and Freemake Video Converter, both of which were showing errors in the system events during system boot in case either of...
I don't think I have EMET installed, unless an automated Windows update added it. I can't see in in the programs list anyway.
I have already tried turning IE off and back on within the Windows...
Nope, still no solution as yet. I think I'll post the full XML error message log, so if you could do the same maybe there might be something in common which the experts here might notice?

If you exported your Favourites from the old machine's IE using the export function: Menu > File > Import/Export, then you use can the same menu operation to import them back into IE 11 on the new...
I've already tried resetting IE options to defaults, which didn't help. Running an sfc scan at the moment, but given that IE runs OK in Safe Mode I'm guessing that the program files themselves are...
How would restoring Win10 help when IE 11 did not work right from the initial upgrade? Or are you saying to force a Clean Install of Win10, but that seems a bit overkill when so far it's only IE...
IE 11 hasn't worked since the Win10 upgrade. And while restoring back to Win7 would indeed fix the problem, that's a bit of a drastic solution I think.
I just want to fix whatever is causing IE to...
Any further ideas on why IE is shutting itself down like this? I just checked in Safe Mode and it works there by the way, so I'm going to disable all the addons/etc and see if that helps.

I already did that, which went ahead and removed IE and then asked for a PC restart to complete the uninstall. However when I then tried to manually re-install it, the installer program said it was...
I need to have IE11 available for some specific hardware device control software (which does not work in Chrome, Firefox, etc; rubbish I know, but I'm stuck with it). However even thought the .exe...
I guess no one has any thoughts on this then?
Not to worry anyway, I'll stick with GO Contact Sync Mod ; I didn't realise it did Calendar syncing as well as Contacts now.
And after a bit more...
From my first very quick impressions, Edge seems to basically be 'Internet Explorer Lite'. Nice pretty big slidey controls for the children to poke their fingers at, but with most of the underlying...
I want to continue to use Outlook as my main email client (sorry, but the built-in app in Windows 10 is little more than a pretty toy, even my phone's email app is more powerful and configurable). I...
