It seems as though the photos I add to windows explorer show up in reverse order in windows photos. I saw a previous thread from 2016, but I am not sure if this is still a viable work around.

OK I found a forum for LG (the manufacturer was clueless) that said both devices needed to be on the same band. I put them both on 2.4ghz and it worked like a champ!

No additional adapter should be needed, the TV has built in screen share which I believe it does wirelessly.
I am of the opinion that Windows firewall may be blocking this.
Sorry for that...

Update: Contacted LG support and they are braindead. I assume perhaps something in defender or firewall is blocking the connection because my surface sees the TV

OK I do NOT have the adapter you speak of. The LG TV has a selection called "screen share" which is supposed to work much like Apple air play mirroring. But after looking at the LG site Screen Share...

We may be moving closer. After installing the above, It now connects (sometimes) and says "duplicate" but nothing from the Surface shows on the TV screen.
