Still Waiting for Godot here...
Ditto. Ain't nobody got time for that
Nothing coming through WU here on our SP4... and this was released Sept 21??
Yeah I know, thanks Bree. I solved the problem by doing a fresh install of 1703 I was going to migrate all my stuff to. Just been too busy to do it since.
See, you still got luckier than I did. When it came through on mine it took out all networking adapters thanks to the "Broadcom issue", if you recall. Lacking the know how to fix at the time I had to...
User Dravion, looks like your post was deleted due to use of foul language and racial slur.
Try that again in a less offensive manner. You had some valid points, although I personally think...
How come I have so much more going on there?

Yep

Twins!! lol. Well I can say the exact same thing for my 1607, ever AFTER a trip to 1703 and rollback. Never gotten another WU notification for 1703 since, but did a fresh install of that one on...
werby, same thing happened to me...

That looks better, I'll go for it.
Just wanted to go ahead and download from Catalog when I noticed this update has the same "Known issues" as the previous one. No thanks. I strongly suspect that being reason why they removed it from...
Bree, exactly what I had suspected too, but when I double checked yesterday my time it was still unchanged. Well then, onto the Catalog.
Which you're entitled to :)
Proving my point, it didn't say Windows update for these.

See at the bottom "How to get this Update" So yeah.. unless MS just willy-nilly says so and then does different, I'd...
"This update will be downloaded and installed automatically from Windows Update."
Well they shouldn't have an issue with that in the first place. 1703 is not a necessity by any means. By now I've compared AU and CU and can say no difference in productivity or stability for me...
I would think chances for that to happen are just as high, if not higher for the average experienced user doing their manual thing. Provided they can find a BIOS update. I like the idea of them...
And I'm sure it is. I've seen more Surface specific driver/firmware updates come through Windows update than any other computer we've ever owned.
Another generalization I can't support. No issues on our SP4, besides it received Creator's Update as soon as it was released.
No complains here so far, and my wife hasn't been easy on her SP4 for a little over a year now. Yes, it's expensive, but still less than the Macbooks we compared it to, and they didn't have touch...
I've never heard of the Creator's Update App, but the Windows 10 Update Assistant gets you this update, if that's what you're looking for.

1593 was a bigger one for me... WU started normal, but ran into an error. That was a first on this machine, maybe because of the mysterious 1537 I had run manually prior. Restart took forever, after...
Yep, here too. Another update now only hours later I figure there must've been major issues.
Kinda feel pretty stupid now. Downloaded from MUC since it didn't come through WU and I couldn't wait,...
Whaaaat... what's that, Crazy Patch Tuesday at MS?? Lol
