    I went to Device Manager and under "Monitors",...

    I went to Device Manager and under "Monitors", found two listings for "Generic PnP Monitor" and updated to update driver software. In both cases, it was already up to date.

    I have a Toshiba Laptop which I updated from 7 to 10 a few months ago.
