Upon further thought I'm going to just live with the annoyance. I had a related issue with latency last year in a desktop that was only resolved with the purchase of a new machine, the new laptop...

This is a recent problem perhaps due to one of the updates as was the case with windows 7.

Thanks for the information. I just might leave the desktop as it is and not do any upgrades. I have sensitive data on it that I can't risk compromising.

It appears to be the so called anniversary upgrade. I found a thread on this subject that I'll look into this morning.

Windows 10 pro on both desktop and laptop. The laptop upgrades every few days but the desktop never does. What's going on.
