So I'm wondering if anyone has an email address where I can invoice Intel for the lost time (at least 6 hours) chasing down the matter? Or maybe the NSA has a 'Incidental Victims of Compelled...
"I had better educate myself about what this driver actually does", I thought to myself. Well, if you choose that route, I hope you have better luck than me. This creepy page was the best...
I had a similar issue (I was not so thorough as to check all the resource usage graphs though!). In my case, the Hyper-V host (Win 10 Pro) experienced slow networking on downloads only (uploads were...
Nonetheless, could you update the (lately inaccurate) #6 item? It would save us punters a bit of time chasing down a solution which won't work if we don't already know an password (which is...
In case anyone is contemplating this, *and* is using a disk-imaging program such as FSSDev's Casper to clone the drive to a bigger one. (So far on the Internet, it's just me!), just know that Casper...
I just solved a similar problem that was very related to the fact that my OEM had put a file C:\Windows\Panther\Unattend\Unattend.xml and it was taking precedence over the file you supply to sysprep,...
Yep, all true. What happens though is that there are 2 phases:
sysprep
goes through a whole bunch of 'oobe cleaning rituals', because of the /oobe swtich
it copies the file you specify...
:-) I'm now writing from the Win 10 machine where my profile is located at H:\Users !
Well, for some of us, problems with Windows stop us doing productive work, which makes it difficult to buy...
OK, so the Lenovo-supplied C:\Windows\Panther\Unattended\Unattend.xml was clobbering the C:\Windows\Panther\Unattend.xml which sysprep /unattend:foo.xml allegedly puts there before rebooting the...
Well, it's practically solved, so I'm not going to give up NOW.
That isn't quite the case here. This article (which the previous guy mentioned referred to) tells us the search path...
Hmmm, this guy says that using the /unattend switch "will cache the sysprep.xml file as \windows\panther\unattend.xml". But that latter location is not the file I supplied ... it's the one prepared...
I tried this (explicitly assigning D: as a drive letter), and tried simply having the drive mapped as H:, and tried disabling McAfee while I did it, and I still can't get get the folder to re-locate...
OK, I had discounted that particular warning because my system does not have an optical drive. However, I will follow a modified procedure, using Disk Management, before Sysprepping:
map the...
I didn't have success , although Sysprep did not complain about the removal of the CPI Source line.
Sysprep executed OK and rebooted the machine without error, but at the end of it all, the...
That's great. I'll backup and try it ... just as soon as the new backup drive arrives :-)
This is great. I am looking to implement option #2. However, I am not sure what I should put for the following line:
<cpi:offlineImage cpi:source="wim:E:\sources\install.wim#...>
But in...
