no :), I meant exactly what I wrote, the windows circle should not appear but it does.
It seems "no GUI boot" has no effect, neither does OS boot info. Has anybody else tried these options in W10?
Now the lock screen is back again, it seems everytime after a W update it reactivates. Is there anyway to avoid this?
I will have to try that, I am actually working in Mint. Although I am concerned that even if this works it won't be as responsive as Ubuntu in Enhanced session mode.
I have installed XRDP on the Linux machine and configured following Kari's video, is that not it?
I have followed Kari's guide video to setup a Windows host to Linux Mint RDC.
I get to the RDC login but then after a minute or so I get connection failed, here's the screenshot. It says login...
I want to do the same as the OP, on the same SSD. I get lost in the thread. If I shrink my current W10 partition, can I just install the 2nd W10 in the unallocated space?
Strangely, after I enabled and then disabled the password, the lock screen disappeared. Thanks
Thank you!

Can someone please tell me what makes the Session Init and Post boot phases so long? Is the Session Init length normal? I have a last gen i7,...
Can you please tell me how you created this Boot Trace? I have a similar issue. Thanks
I am on 1803 Pro, I don't have any password set but everytime the computer resumes from sleep I have to click on the sign in button.
I had disabled previously the lock screen but it just came back...
Work well for me since the fix, thank you superfly.
How do you change explorer background? it doesn't seem to work for me.
I can't scroll horizontally on the right window, I can't access the external colors button. What does that do anyway? Only solution is to reduce DPI, logout and then reopen it.
Same issue unfortunately :(
So the explorer background does not change I have noticed, is this the correct behavior? I see that excel spreadsheet color changes but not explorer.

Thank you for the suggestion. My original goal was to run sysprep to 'clean' my windows installation of all previous drivers of the old machine. I wanted to do this because I didn't want to do a...
Hello folks,
There are many threads on this and posts everywhere, but nothing is working for me.
I have placed the miracast folder in c:\Windows but that's not working, I have tried running...
I have followed this procedure but I still cannot remove it, and that means that I can't run sysprep
I have tried that solution but it doesn't work, at every boot I have the same background. My lock screen is disabled so that might have something to do with it. Any other solution?
Thanks! I will have to do some testing because every time I tried any of the color changing methods there was always some problem somewhere where the GUI would come mostly unusable.
Let's see how that works, because my lock screen is disabled actually, so I would only see any change after I reboot.
