Ok, so the goal is to get cmd.exe in the windows\system32 to run as admin by default.

This is critical as many tools I use spawn cmd.exe to do their work in the c root and elsewhere

Ok,, this worked for others:
Copy cmd.exe from windows\system32 to for example c:\cmd.exe

Then you can right click on cmd.exe and the compatibility mode tab is there, check run as admin, done.,...

So, how else do I get the ability to echo # > bla in the command prompt from the root of c?
I have hundreds of tools which all make dirs/files in the root of C, and I really don't feel like...

I tried right clicking, Security -> Add -> Everyone (check name showed ok), then set it to full control, and hit apply, but when I open...
