If the computer works fine in SMWN without an issue will always be a driver or an app issue. If the system doesnt evem boot into smwn then definitely it is an issue with OS or H/W failure.
Chipset and video drivers needs to be updated. If the issue persists create a new user account with admin rights n check.
It is a driver issue. May i know the manufacturer name of your computer
Is the BIOS is up to date?
You can download media creation tool and upgrade to windows 10 without any errors.
Windows 10
And make sure all the important updates are installed before upgrading to windows 10.
It doesnt make any difference when you disable non microsoft services. It will not disable any hardware on your computer.
Run disk defrag and disk cleanup for performance issue.
Delete prefetch, temp and %temp% files. You can also run CCleaner software to delete the temp files. Go to msconfig and disable all the services except the microsoft one and restart the system.
Check in safe mode with networking and try to save file on desktop. It might be an issue with malware. If the problem persists in smwn run superantispyware pro and mbam.
Download whocrashed software and analyze the issue. It gives you the exact error message. I feel it might be an issue with video drivers.
When you restart system in SMWN on the login screen you will find wifi icon on the right bottom of the screen. Try to connect from there. You will still see a red x though the wifi is connected.
