I should have been clearer. I just used a restore point, not a complete system restore.
My problem is fixed. I ran a system restore that apparently was created with the W10 installation and everything sorted itself like magic. I probably got lucky.

I made a recovery disc just after installing windows 10.
I could not find anything about the partition and there was nothing in it. Can't I make another recovery disc?

After I free upgraded from 8.1 to 10 a new partition showed up. I just deleted it and it became unallocated space.
How can I merge this space with my primary partition. Both are on a 256 SSD.

Thanks, very stupid of me. Also, since I last posted I did a system restore back to 7/29 installation and windows 10 activated.
