Dang. Try the windows p and different direction arrow to see if you can find you screen
So was mine. When I changed to HDMI it let me see my screen. Then I changed back to dvi after I got to the desktop. Then went to display settings made it only one e monitor
Probably have to let that finish first.
Turn your pc off power on and hold f12 should be the same process you used to change to discrete
Change back to auto in bios and then boot up with monitor connected via hdmi
Update. After changing to HDMI I plugged dvi connection in and it seemed to think it was a second screen. In display settings I hit make this primary screen and now I seem to be back in business.
So I have alienware x51. At black screen I unplugged my dvi monitor and connected via HDMI and it showed up. Haven't tried to go back to dvi yet
