Would it be better to have nothing but dual ranked RAM? I'm kinda needing more than 8gbs, and I have no idea when the next BSOD is going to happen.
All right, dual ranked RAM pulled out.
There ya go.
Here we go again.
That's what I figured. Anyway, so far so good. Though, learning from past blue screens, it may be several more days until the next one. Unless we've magically fixed it. If it doesn't happen for at...
Okay, I've got the version from MSI re-installed. Ver. 14.5.0.1081
He's had a similar problem before, though it was on a HDD. He ended up replacing it. My SSD isn't old, and it isn't showing signs of failing though.
Just uninstalled the Realtek WLAN thing. That...
Okay. So I just had two in a row. A friend of mine seems to think it's my SSD, is this a problem that occurs much? It's about a year old.
BitDefender uninstalled, RST is already installed, ASUS Tweak uninstalled, network adapter USB moved, and more programs disabled at startup except for things I use.
Samsung Magician came with the SSD, so I've had that for a long time. Just never updated it until recently.
I don't overclock - ASUS Tweak I just keep around to monitor GPU temp and such.
...
All right, it finally happened. Kernel security check failure.
So far so good, keeping SLI disabled, though I think it's been disabled since the previous few BSODs... we'll see what happens in the next few days, I'm kind of expecting another one to pop up. Seems...
I'll leave it disabled for now, but if it shows up again, I'll unplug a card.
Like just turn off SLI or take out a card?
Actually, SLI is already disabled.
And again this morning, except now it happened right after startup.
Happened again. Big surprise.
So there was a problem with updating Samsung Magician... the .zip it downloaded was damaged. Manually downloaded the latest version and overwrote my current installation, and got the firmware updated.
Okay, so I've already got that installed and downloaded - the version of RST I have right now is 14.8.0.1042, opposed to 14.5.0.1081 which is what's included on MSI's site. Should I install the older...
Lol, so I was good for a couple of weeks and now it's starting again.
So far so good...
I updated the SteelSeries software - that's my mouse, and it's something I use occasionally. Also installed the RST driver.
Done. Just had another one, wdf01000.sys.
NOPE. Everything went pretty well, until wpprecorder.sys decided to come back.
Okay, new adapter plugged in. Checked my driver versions and they're totally different from the previous Realtek drivers. I don't wanna be premature, but I'll go ahead and mark this as solved.
