The other driver just toggles airplane mode, and that works fine. Asus support won't do anything about it either unfortunately, since they just point me in the direction of the driver again.

It was originally on Windows 10. And yes the CPU is 5th gen, and the driver you (and Asus) provided does not work.

I did exactly as you said, and there wasn't any setting for a WiFi adapter in BIOS. I also tried reinstalling the drivers after the following the instructions you gave me, and that didn't work...
