Okay
Well I have moved the first stick from the first slot to second to third, to forth to outta there.
Now the second stick is in the first slot.
Just so we are on the same page when it comes to...
Well I thought things were good, I played all this morning and not a peep. Then got on again this after noon and not a minute after I logged on (game crash), so I logged back on (BSOD-Memory...
I'll find the slot stick and slot that causes the least problems first, then I'll add the other ram to the mix and see what happens
Ok, its just that I have an old computer that's just sitting there like a doorstop and It has a couple sticks in it and I thought about trying them out.
I meant kinda both hardware and software. If I put an incompatible stick of Ram in would it blow my motherboard?
Well I took one of my sticks out and am running on 8GB now. Lets see how things run...
Since we we tried both sticks in the black slots originally and now they are in the blue slots, that's both sticks in all the slots.
I do have an older computer with some ram sticks in it I could...
Ok, I'm not following you again, it sounds like you are saying:
"If I get a crash with a single stick, then seat that same stick into a different slot. If another crash occurs that stick is NOT the...
Ok, I will try removing one stick first. Does it matter which one I remove?
Ok, again I am misunderstanding you. What are you saying?
So it sounds like your saying my motherboards total memory limit is 8GB?
That conflicts with their specs ASRock > Z97 Pro4
- Max. capacity of...
I'm not totally sure I follow, that sounds good because they are each 8GB sticks and 8GB is supported. I only saw 2 listings for Crucial but I think mine is this one:
DDR3 1600 8GB Crucial ...
Ok well we did put both sticks in 2 totally new slots. So if both sticks went from the black slots to the blue slots. Whats next?
Well I would like to not "assume" the problem is memory. I would like to find out for sure.
Here is the zip from DM log collector.
I don't know maybe I do need new ram sticks. My game is still crashing and Im still getting BSODs (all kinds of memory BSODs) This is all that I have...
I just had a BSOD that I can't blame on my game I was in google when it happened. Here is the link to the dump file
MEMORY11.DMP - Google Drive
Here is the zip file of the chkdsk with /r parameter event logs. I added the locale meta data in the zip too.
Yes, at the time you didn't specify you wanted any parameters and the tutorial just listed all possible parameters.
I will rerun it for you again with parameter /r and upload zip file.
The ASRock App Store app is uninstalled, I did a moderate uninstall. *crossing fingers* that solves most of the BSOD's
The zip file I gave you in post # 213 is from chkdsk Option 2 through elevated command prompt on C: partition
Ok, then since I only have a C partition and I already uploaded that zip file to you I guess thats all you need for that. When I get home I will uninstall the ASRock App with Revo uninstaller. It...
Now I only have a C: partition. Can I run chkdsk on the "system reserved" partition of the computer?
What provided parameter? the /r says its an example and reading Option2 it lists every switch but I don't see you ever asking for a parameter or switch that's why I was asking earlier.
Do you want any of the switches or just the drive letter? I did C already?
Do you think its ok for me to uninstall the ASRock App Shop App with Revo Uninstaller? I'm kind of leary about uninstalling this app (along with slimline apps) that that has its fingers in and around...
