I thought the whole point was that updates are automatically installed without interaction from the end user thus all windows 10 users would be running the same versions. Much like OS X.

What version of office are you using. If the latest, do you have the desktop version installed or the web version?

Installed 10 on the HP desktop this morning via invitation. Installing on my gaming laptop now via the media creation tool as I hadn't received a notification yet and I'm too impatient. :)
