Try deleting the driver for Audio and reinstalling, does not seem to be my issue, so probably will work fine eventually
you might also want to play with Privacy settings and mic access

I guess you have exactly my issue. I am pretty sure it has something to do with Audio codec(discord uses their own audiocodec, but idk what exactly. Noone seems to be able to help

I have a super annoying and strange problem with my laptop Lenovo y 70 70 T which has been going on for 4 years..

So, depending on the audio driver choice, my microphone will be picked...

UPD: I still have the same problem after 2 years. To make it even more weird:
If I use Telegram for dekstop in calls nobody can hear me, but I can record Audio messages on telegram at the same time.

Is it possible that the reason is simple overheating? In test the CPU temps reach >60 degreees
