Well that appears to have worked. I just reset all of the power settings their defaults, restarted the computer, and now everything works.

I have noticed this problem come up on my Dell 7537 (Check out my profile for details) when I close the lid to put the computer to sleep, the HDD light turns off, but the fan continues...
Okay I just tried this and worked perfectly as well. Looks like the newer 750m driver is incompatible

Well maybe I'll hold off on the update until Dell / Nvidea fixes this driver issue with the 7537.. I wonder if br00n0 is having the same problems since he is the only other one who has successfully...

Have you tried restarting after the monitor was unplugged to make sure it still works?
I think JamesN hit the nail on the head with the graphics card driver issue. I remember I had the same issue with installing the newest Nvidea driver, same black screen after boot. So maybe dell says...

Okay so I disabled the card using the steps at the bottom of this thread:

And tried the install once again. But...
I couldn't find anything about disabling the card in the BIOS, but maybe I can disable it through the device manager. Ill try that then another attempt at the install lol.

I restarted once, back to same screen.. Restarted a second time, and its recovering my previous windows now. So I have no idea what is going on.
Update 4..
It got to 91% on the step and 73% overall (exactly the same place where it stopped last time), and restarted. Dell screen loaded, HDD flickered, and I got really excited...
... Until...

Files have been copied and it restarted successfully. Now it's starting the "Installing features and drivers" where it got hung up last time after it completed this step. Lets see how...
Hmm. If it's a laptop try disconnecting the power supply and then restarting. That worked for me. (I think its because it needs to have the power plugged in to continue installing, and if it is...
