As you mentioned RAM, I had a look in my BIOS and discovered that a slightly overclocked RAM voltage had been applied on initial setup (Overclockers built my machine, although it isn't supposed to be...
I thought that was the case. I'll bear that in mind for next time!
Concerning the driver BSODs, were any particular drivers referenced or did they indicate the RAM was at fault too?
