I could also do in in the BIOS boot order.
Thanks KB,
The primary drive is a HDD 2.5" laptop drive. It's a Dell XPS 18.
The secondary drive is a SSD MSata (Mini Sata) drive and cannot fit in the # 1 position. That's the only option.

I think I will take your advice and keep an image on the second drive.
I guess Macrium could do the scheduled backup.
Thanks again.
Joe
This is just a backup of the main HD.
I have no intensions of using the backup as a primary OS.
If things fail, I wi;;ues the backup to fix things.
OK, Here’s what I got.
I cloned the drive to a second internal 500 GB EVO SSD.
I cloned all but the Dell 57 GB recovery and the Swap Temp partitions.

I certainly don't want to go back to Windows 8.
Well, I tried several things.
I tried Shift+Restart and the only option was "Turn off your PC".

Thanks.
I do have Macrium.
I am going to try and see if the restore drive is accessible.
I'll look in the Boot Options and see what is there.
Also, Dell recovery.
Thanks for the advice and the Links.
I think I may have messed up the drive when I first took it out of the box.
I created D,E and F partitions.
One more question, since most of the...

The system works just fine.

I reset and got rid of my problem.
I also got rid of a lot of "Bloteware" and of course all the HP stuff.
I will try to recover some of the HP support stuff but the rest is well rid of.
Thanks Brink.
I have prepared myself for that option and I suspect that it will be the cleanest.
I'm inclined to do that.
I trust it will not affect my disk partitions.
Do I use "How to Delete a User Account in Windows 10" or "How to Delete User Profile of an Account in Windows 10"?
I bought a used laptop.

Actually, all you need to do is turn off "Real Time Protection" in your antivirus and things move along just nicely.
The problem seems to be that real time protection checks everything.
