Before I get to chkdsk I wanted to get through BSODHunter's list of commands, the first one:
dism /Online /NoRestart /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Came up with nothing.
The second one...

Alrighty. So I ran MemTest for 3 passes and it came up with no errors. I do realise you said 8 and that 3 passes are relatively inconclusive but it did those 3 passes in about 10 hours overnight and...
That's a lotta steps, but I will try to start with that MemTest tonight, though from memory I did try to do that once before and apparently my PC actively refuses to boot from USB.
I realise the title isn't greatly descriptive but that's because nearly every BSOD I get is a new one so trying to pinpoint a particular bugcheck seems like a wasted effort. For clarity, my specs are...
I'll try that if need be but right now another issue has arisen...Mind you my copy of Windows 10 is genuine, as was my copy of Windows 7, this is the first time I've seen this.
Ask and ye shall receive.
I actually just tried it and it gave me another error - 0x80070570 - 0xB0003 Didn't even get to the installation bit this time.
The specification for my MoBo says that it has 4 DDR3 slots so I'm not entirely sure if this is the right thing to do.
I have ENG (US) and ENG (UK) installed. Also yeah I have plenty of free space on my hard drive.
The saga continues. It got about 3% through the installation before it decided to recover the previous version of windows. Funnily enough I had the exact same issue when upgrading from Windows 7 to...
I'll give this a bash later though I'm slightly sceptical. If the clean upgrade from Win 7 to Win 10 didn't fix this then I'm not sure that this will. Still, it's an option.
SFC found nothing both times.
That's just it though, Windows Defender was using the most out of everything on the list of processes, I'm not sure why 0.5MB/s equals 93% disk usage. I wasn't running any scans so I presume it was...
No crash yet, but this struck me as a little odd. There doesn't seem to be a good reason for Windows Defender to chew up that much disk usage.
Most of the time it's just Steam and Chrome plus Nvidia GeForce Experience running in the background. I'm not sure how I could take a screenshot of that tab just before a crash happens since they're...
Yesterday they all happened while I was watching a video on YouTube (using Chrome if that matters).
They all pretty much happen the same way, the last half a second or so of whatever audio was...
Had two BSOD-less crashes just now in quick succession, even though yesterday nothing happened. I'll try to do the CPU test tomorrow though I'm a bit pressed for time with exams.
And to add insult...
Seatools passed all the tests. Chkdsk came up with no errors.
I'll get on that right now.
Not a single one.
Practically none aside from testing my RAM sticks.
Not sure if this is relevant to anything, but Event Viewer gives a warning a few seconds after the Kernel Power error that says this:
The...
I'd love to say I didn't see this coming but I had another BSOD-less crash. Event Viewer still gives generic errors.
That is probably the worst thing you could've told me :chuckle:
I've done a clean install of the LAN and Nvidia drivers at any rate so we'll see what happens now, I just hope it doesn't go back to...
