Alright. I unticked the "Retrieve additional information from the internet" checkbox, and now Windows Media Player stays very low on RAM usage.
Edit: Does anybody know what that setting actually...
Yes. It seems very random though... as of writing this, Windows Media Player my desktop isn't even using 100 MB of memory... from 1 GB to 50 MB... wow... But I won't celebrate anything, until the...
Actually, I might have solved the issue with Windows Media Player (32 & 64-bit versions, but particularly the 32-bit version) eating away at the memory. On my particular desktop, it was using as much...
Sure. Here it is.
Faulting application name: wmplayer.exe, version: 12.0.19041.1, time stamp: 0x27d3a83c
Faulting module name: combase.dll, version: 10.0.19041.1081, time stamp: 0xbc34a44f

I will stay away from Windows 11, until it is officially launched by Microsoft. Those bugs with Advanced Startup, Reset Your PC etc. and also Windows Security has made me make the decision to stay...
I just wanted to share my experiences with this bug... I am very sorry for bumping an old thread, but when I launch Windows Media Player in Windows 10 21h1, as an administrator, it doesn't crash upon...
Good idea, I will check that.

Nope. No difference in a new, local account.
Same with me I suppose. I sync all my contacts with one Microsoft Account. I will try and see on my spare laptop if I can upgrade it from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and see if its the same over there.
Mine looks the same.
Edit: Anyone who's got any idea of what it could be?
Been there, done that.
Edit: I was able to use Powershell to uninstall it. Bit once it was reinstalled, it was back on square one.

What version of the People app do you...
Yes, but they revert back to first name on both settings each time I enter the settings again.
Like the title says. I am running Windows 10 19041.572 (May 2020 Update) and the People app is updated to it's latest version (10.1909.18041.0).
The app itself works flawlessly, but won't allow...
Quite recently and suddenly, my background picture and system color syncled to my second computer. I have no idea why or how it did it, but now it just randomly synced.
Anyone who's got this problem as well?
Even more strange now is, when I'm trying to sync themes which seems to be the only issue at the moment, it only seems to sync after the first login to a new Microsoft account. I have no clue why it...
UPDATE: The sync triggered today, sometime today. As the laptop now as the passwords and autofill content from my desktop. So, it works, but certainly seems to take a while. Oh well, it seems as it...
I recently upgraded to the resumed October 2018 Update of Windows 10, still no go at the sync.
Now I've made a brand new Microsoft account, and still, my theme doesn't sync to the other computer, nor does the passwords. I don't bother with the favorites anymore. Both computers are of course...
I have done just as you mentioned. Both my desktop and laptop are both signed in, autheticated as trusted devices. So it still has to be something with my Microsoft Account. At least that's what I...
To me, that window doesn't even show up.
EDIT: Isn't that for a domain?
EDIT2: This is what it looks like to me, please just ignore the swedish language. Basically everything is set to "On"....
Dear community,
This problem began when I first installed the Fall Creator's Update (1709) last year. Since then, it's been nothing but sync issues. I created a new Microsoft Account, just to try...
SOLVED! Check Battlegroup for details.
I get this when trying to launch e.g Battlefield 1942 and Robot Wars Arenas of Destruction and Robot Wars Extreme Destruction. Nothing seems to solve it. Not Run as Administrator, not compatibility...
