Maybe the problem is in the hardware, because I accidentally dropped the laptop 2 days before this glitch appeared, and it fell on the screen hinges...
I did that but nothing changed.
I exactly did that, but the monitor driver didn't solve anything.

it might be the driver for the video card. This problem is happening to me too and someone told me that it should be a driver issue.
look for a driver in you Video Card's manufacturer website.
My ThinkPad is a X220i, and it has an Intel HD Graphics 3000.
I searched for drivers for the video card but i found none on Lenovo's website nor on Intel's download center.
